Nearly nothing is as difficult as to portrait animals. Your work is unique - anyway. Everytime i look at the shots you make I feel the creatures are talking to me. Wonderful....

Oh thanks realworld, that is the nicest complement you could give me. I was trying to take photos of Jo as she played around on my chair and not to has her to pose. Ah to ask Jo to pose would be a joke anyway. When she see the camera in my hand she just wants to jump into the chair with me. So this time I went and sat on the couch so she got in the chair and I got the photos. I was lucky and this did take about 50 photos to get some that I liked. I just followed her around with the camrea. I liked what I got though and maybe that is the right way to take photos of dogs.
Hi girl, thanks for the nice complement! You didn't get to meet Jo when you were in AZ. I couldn't have taken her with us to lunch, she is a bit of a bull in a china shop if you know what I mean. Hope you are well, I need to drop by and see what you have been blogging about.

Thus I tried again (and I can't count how often I made it) today in the afternoon (. "Schlumo" - our beloved cat - behaves just the same way. That's why about 90 % of the shots I like to show portray him when he sleeps ;-)

You are soooooooo lucky! Be sure I don't give up

You know how you say my best shots are of my viola? Yours are of your pup and horses. These are great!
The last photo is my fave. She really does look like she's in the mood to talk. I used to have two English Bulldogs. They were the most fun pets I'd ever had, especially my first Bully. She was so intuitive and very, very eager to please, which is quite unusual for a Bully. I read that English Bulldogs are among the hardest dogs to train cause they're so laid back that they just don't care enough to be real motivated. They do love to be buddies though, and that's what they're best at.
Just keep trying realworld, it just take time and patience. I do think cats are harder to take photo of.
Thanks Cap'n I do love my animals.
Wow, you have had two bully! Jo-Jo is fully of it and very active! She keeps me on my toes.
Yes, but so much fun, I'm sure.
Oh yes...
These are fantastic! iStock worthy for sure. Great job!
Ha, I did send one in to iStock. I had two more rejected, one for light and both for keywords. I've resubmitted then along with some of the Tucson Rodeo I took last year. So far I'm batting around 50%.
Good for you! My last two notices have been rejections. Guess I'm going to have to try harder.
Yes, it did give me a thrill at that! It sure takes a lot of time to get the photos just right to ear what maybe $1.00? Seems silly to me but it does give me a goal and practice at editing my photos.
You are so right LBreeze she is always fun to have around. She makes me laugh.

My favorite JOJO! The pics are great - I love the way that you used the light and Jojo - well she is the cutest darn puppy in the universe! Kisses for her!

Hi London, I thought you might like these photos of Jo-Jo. I was lucky to get photos of her as she usually doesn't sit still for me. It was a rainy day and the light coming through the door was low and soft. I put the camera on sport setting and I think this was taken at 1600 ISO...not bad for such a high speed setting. I didn't want to use a flash as that would have had Jo jumpoing down off the chair right away.

Thanks for you nice comments, it is great to hear from you.

What great shots -- love the light, and she looks like such a sweet girl! The Rainy Day Blues is definitely my favorite. I know that chin-on-the-chair-arm wistful look well!
